creating a place.
Dear Kids ,So far this year has already been a whirlwind for us! We've lived in three different places (all within a 15-mile radius!), launched a business (Love Roots Photography), changed jobs, and started our adoption process (among other things!)It's starting to catch up to us and we've been exhausted these last few weeks. We are finally in a rental home that we think we will be in for a while. That feels good. And kids, maybe this is the house we will be welcoming you in to! What a thought that is...it's overwhelming and exciting. It feels so far off, yet in my heart, I'm anticipating it like it's tomorrow. Here are a few pictures of the new place...we have a LOT of work to do :) Most of our things are still in boxes, but thankfully we have some incredible friends who have helped us with this! One of my favorite things about the place: the little sun-room/porch. This is where I'd like to spend my time! This is your some-day Goofy Dad. (You'll see!)(Don't mind the outfit...I'm working on that ;) But to give him some credit, this was moving day! Love you, Dan!Total 70's House!! We have some work to do in this yard. We think it could be really cool! just needs some love...And lastly, another favorite spot...under the cherry tree. Unfortunately, I think the cherries are for the birds and not for us!SO there's the mini-tour of the place as it looks right now. I really, really hope this will be the place we will have you, kids! We'll see. In the mean-time, we'll be creating a safe and comfortable place in this home. We'll be praying for you and for God's protection of love over you. Only God knows when you'll be with us- and His timing is perfect (regardless of our idea of what the timing should look like!) That's something we are always learning in this life-journey. A lot of life seems like it involves waiting. The important thing is to Trust. To believe. To live faithfully in the moment as we wait on God's timing for the good things He has in store.
